Lenovo Recovery Media - OEM USB Key Creation

Go to  pcsupport.lenovo.com, you’ll need to sign in with your Lenovo Account. If you don’t have an account yet, one can be created at Account Home.

Find the product you want to OEM by serial number or other identifier. (i.e. 1S21HESDJV00PF522Q73)

Under “How can we help you?” Select Drivers & Software.

On the next page, select “Get Recovery Media” by clicking “Order Now”.

At The Recovery Media Systems Program Support page click “CLICK TO CONTINUE”.

On the Lenovo Recovery Media page, make sure that the serial number and model number match the computer you want OEM for, then click “Select and Continue”.

Select the OS language as “English”. Then on the far right under “Select Media Type” choose “Digital Download”. Click “Next”.

Confirm your digital order and complete the reCAPTCHA. Click “Submit”.

Once your digital media is confirmed you will click on “Digital Download” to install the Lenovo USB Recovery Creator if you don't already have it installed. Otherwise, you may skip this step.

Open Lenovo USB Recovery Creator and select Start.

At the sign in screen select your preferred method of sign in and sign into the account you used to order the OEM image from the Lenovo website.

Select the image from the list that corresponds to the Model of the computer you want OEM for.Note: This list will only contain images you have ordered from Lenovo.

Select Download and Continue.

Downloading the image will take ~30 minutes, then you will be prompted with this green Download Completed popup.

Ensure you have the correct USB drive selected in the dropdown box then select “next”.

The USB Tool will validate the USB drive then prompt you with this orange box. Press “yes” to begin the installation.

 

 

Once the image as successfully been flashed to the USB drive and then been validated you will be prompted with this green box indicating that the installation was successful. Press “No, Exit” and your key will be ready.
