Respondus Lockdown for iPadOS

There may be cases where you need to take an exam, but only have an iPad available. While not supported by all iPads/iPadOS versions, there is now a way to take exams via iPad though it is not recommended unless no other options are available.

Disclaimers:

• There is no guarantee that these steps work for your iPad. 
• Exams requiring a camera may not work on your iPad.

Installing & Taking Exams

1. Install Lockdown Browser from the App Store.
   
2. Once it is installed, open the Safari Application and navigate to https://educat.nmu.edu
3. Login to Educat in Safari.
4. Locate your course, then locate the button [link] to take your exam.
   
5. Select "Open" to open the LockDown browser Application and begin your exam.
   
6. Accept or allow the prompt for "Assessment Mode" which will lock your device to the application to prevent cheating.
7. Begin your exam.
