MyNMU Tiles Not Working
There are times when MyNMU's tiles may exhibit some strange or unusual behavior (spins, never loads, gets stuck), and this is typically due to some stored browser data. This means the solution is to essentially clear the browser's cache, cookies, and any other related site data. After you have followed the steps below, re-open the MyNMU App on your mobile device, or the MyNMU website on your computer and verify the tiles are working again.
For Google Chrome:
- Select the three dots in the top right corner of the browser.
- Locate the option that says "Delete browsing data..." and select it.
- At the top of the window that opens up, make sure the "Advanced" tab is selected (underlined).
- Make sure "Time Range" is set to "All time".
- Select "Cookies and other site data", "Cached images and files", and "Site settings". You do not have to select your "History" or "Download History".
- Select "Delete data".
For Firefox:
- Locate the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of the browser.
- Locate the "Settings" option and open it.
- On the left hand side, locate the "Privacy & Security" tab.
- Scroll down till you locate "Cookies & Site Data". Select "Clear Data..."
- For the "When" field make sure it says "Everything. Select and make sure the boxes that say "Cookies and site data", "Temporary cached files and pages", and "Site settings" have the check mark showing next to them.
- Select "Clear".
For Android:
- Open up the "Settings" app and locate "Apps".
- Once "Apps" is opened up, scroll down or search for MyNMU.
- If the option to "Force stop" the app is available, not grayed out, select it and accept any warning it may give.
- Find "Storage & cache" and select it.
- Select "Clear storage" and then "Clear cache". Accept any prompts that appear.
For iOS:
- Open the "Settings" App, and locate "Apps" inside the settings. Scroll down or search for Safari.
- Select/Press Safari & once it's selected, scroll down until you locate the header, "HISTORY AND WEBSITE DATA".
- Press "Clear History and Website Data".
- Where it says "CLEAR TIMEFRAME" select "All history" and make sure the checkmark is next to it afterwards.
- Press the bottom button that says "Clear History".
