Who's OnlineWho's Online provides a view of who is presently working in a course and who is presently working in any of your courses. You also have the ability to invite one or more who are working to an instant chat. To view who is working in any of your courses, view the Who's Online box on the My WebCT page. If there is a number higher than 1 by the name of one of your courses, click that course for a list of who is presently working. Inside your course under the Build or Teach tab: Click Who's Online. Under My Status you can make yourself:
If you wish to invite someone for an instant chat, click the box to the left of their name(s) and click Send Chat Invitation.You may add a message to the invitation, then click Send Invitation. The person you have invited will see a pop-up screen with the invitation and has the option to Accept or Decline. If accepted, then the screen changes to a chat room and you may type your message in the lower-left box and read the list of comments in the top-left box. The box on the right will be a list of people participating in the chat. Please note, these chats are not logged. For a logged chat option, please use the Chat tool inside of a course. 7/12/07 |
