Assignmments

Assignments using a Grading Form will create a new column in the Grade Book if the settings of the Assignment are changed.
If you create an Assignment and use a grading form then need to change the conditions of the Assignment such as the due date, WebCT will automatically create a new column in the Grade Book and post any grades submitted after the new date in that new column.


Grade Book

Will not display - Temporary Internet Files (Cashe) need to be deleted
Quick Fix - right-click in blank screen (frame) and click Refresh

Delete Temporary Files

Under Tools, scroll to and click Internet Options
Under the General tab, Browser History, click Delete...
Beside Temporary Internet files, click Delete
Click Yes, Close, OK

Search - Bug

Students using the Search Tool will be able to view private journal entries in the Discussion Tool.

Quick Fix - Hide or Delete the Search tool from your course.

If you are using the Journal function in the Discussions Tool then hide the Search tool in your course. To hide a tool in your course under the Build or Teach tab:

  • Click Manage Course
  • Click Course Menu
  • Scroll down the list to the Search Tool and click the Hide Link button so it reads Show Link
  • Scroll back to the top of the screen and click Apply Settings.

Blackboard is aware of the problem, it has been esclated to Development to be repaired and made available in an upcoming product release.
