The Center for Instructional Technology in Education known as the CITE was conceptualized in 1996 and opened its doors in 1999 to provide a resource center for faculty to development and enhance knowledge and skills in the use of technology in the University's curriculum.

The CITE is fondly referred to as "the faculty sandbox".
It is a place for faculty to come and "work" with and "play" with new technologies.

There are two important rules in the CITE...
             1. There are no stupid questions.
          2. No one knows everything.
